I joined NMT after spending 18 years in road transport, during which time we moved a significant amount of machinery for Bevo, F&T, and Hansen.

My first connection with NMT began when we provided trucking services for several forwarders at RB Maasvlakte, and later when RB relocated from Moerdijk.

My journey with NMT officially started following an interview with the former Managing Director of NMT Spain. At that time, it was decided that I would first “ripen” within NMT Netherlands, with the intention that I would later become involved with NMT Spain when the time was right. Looking back now, after 19 years with NMT Netherlands, including almost four years in NMT Spain, I can truly appreciate how valuable that path has been.

Over the years, I’ve learned that the many challenges and obstacles within this business can take you far in a company like NMT. By staying true to yourself, maintaining a hands-on mentality, and being willing to grow and develop together with the team, many opportunities open up.

During the past 19 years, this approach has taken me to many places around the world and into a wide range of roles and departments, including:

-Being part of the auction team in the Netherlands and across Europe

-Working in the short sea trade, as well as the Australia and Africa trades

-Managing our Port Operations department

-Serving as Regional Sales Manager for the Middle East and Head Office in Dubai

-And currently taking on a new challenge in Business Development, working closely with our offices across Europe and the Middle East

Above all, one thing has truly proven itself during my time at NMT. Going above and beyond is not just a slogan, it reflects who we are.
